The singer claims she was drugged and raped by Dr. Luke during their decade-long business relationship and nearly died young due to his abuse, her lawsuit obtained by The News states.
Kesha isn’t backing down after her music producer filed a lawsuit in New York claiming she concocted allegations of rape and mistreatment to get out of her exclusive recording deal, her lawyer vowed.
Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald – the hitmaker behind Katy Perry’s “Roar” and Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” – filed his breach of contract lawsuit Tuesday after Kesha sued him in Los Angeles for sexual assault, gender violence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
“This is just another pathetic and entirely predictable example of Dr. Luke’s continued abuse, and a misguided attempt to keep Kesha under his tyrannical control,” Kesha’s lawyer Mark Geragos said in a statement to the Daily News.
“(Dr. Luke’s) lawsuit has absolutely no basis in fact, the law or reality,” he said. “Kesha is focused on reclaiming her voice and her freedom. She is determined to move on with her life and her career by putting this dark period behind her.”
Kesha, whose real name is Kesha Rose Sebert, claims she was drugged and raped by Dr. Luke during their decade-long business relationship and nearly died young due to his abuse, her lawsuit obtained by The News states.
The “Die Young” singer alleges Dr. Luke once forced her to snort an illicit drug before a flight and then “continuously forced himself” on her while she was high in the sky.
In one instance, Kesha claims Dr. Luke forced her to drink with him and then slipped her a date rape drug disguised as “sober pills.”
Kesha claims she woke up naked in Dr. Luke’s bed the following afternoon feeling sore, sick and unable to remember how she got there.
“Ms. Sebert immediately called her mother and made a ‘fresh complaint,’ telling her that she was naked in Dr. Luke’s hotel room, she did not know where her clothes were, that Dr. Luke had raped her, and that she needed to go to the emergency room,” the lawsuit claims.
Dr. Luke denied the allegations through his lawyer Tuesday as he filed his breach of contract lawsuit on the opposite coast.
He claimed in his paperwork that Kesha and her mom concocted the “lurid” lies as part of a “blatant act of extortion.”
