Rumor: Samsung Galaxy Tab 11.6 Tablet Set To Be Released in Feb 2012
According to the Rumors, the technology war between Apple andSamsung will continue as Samsung has planned to release its all new Galaxy Tab 11.6 Tablet along side the release of Apple’s iPad 3. The Rumors suggest that Samsung will release this new tablet somewhere in February 2012 and this gadget will feature technology unseen in the current tablets. The Rumors also claim that Galaxy Tab 11.6, which will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and will most likely be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February 2012.
It has already been an interesting year for Samsung, marked by ongoing court battles worldwide with Apple over similarities in its Galaxy range of smartphones and tablets to iPhone and iPad products. With the rumor of Galaxy Tab 11.6, it seems as if this everlasting battle will continue in 2012 too.
The new Samsung tablet will use a dual-core Exynos 5250 CPU clocked at 2 GHz. The tablet will also feature a high-resolution screen at 2560 x 1600 with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It is also cited that the New Tablet will be barely larger than the current one as the new one will support a thinner bezel to accommodate the bigger screen.
Now let us calculate the feasibility of these rumor. Well, let’s try our best to understand the technical limitations first. The Exynos that will power the Galaxy Tab 11.6 isn’t scheduled to arrive until mid-to-late 2012. So far, not so good. Now lets come to the screen size. LG and Samsung, who provide displays for the iPad 3, have stated that 2048×1536 is the highest resolution that they can squeeze into the 10.1 inch Screen. It’s possible that Samsung has found a way to increase yields at the larger 11.6-inch size, but the timeline that is mere 2 or 3 months is very short period of time. But as you know rumors have at least some base. So lets hope that Samsung Copes up with the expectations infused by this Rumor and unveil an awesome tablet next year.
